Code of Conduct
Chronography Watch Exhibition is committed to providing a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for everyone who attends — exhibitors, speakers, staff, and visitors alike. This Code of Conduct sets out what we expect from everyone at the Event.
Our Commitment
We welcome attendees of all backgrounds and experience levels, from lifelong collectors to first-time visitors. We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurotype, physical appearance, body, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.
Definitions
Harassment includes:
- Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neurotype, physical appearance, body, age, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, or religion
- Unwelcome comments regarding a person’s lifestyle choices and practices, including those related to food, health, parenting, drugs, and employment
- Deliberate misgendering or use of ‘dead’ or rejected names
- Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behaviour in spaces where they’re not appropriate
- Physical contact and simulated physical contact (eg, textual descriptions like “hug” or “backrub”) without consent or after a request to stop
- Threats of violence
- Incitement of violence towards any individual, including encouraging a person to commit suicide or to engage in self-harm
- Deliberate intimidation
- Stalking or following
- Harassing photography or recording, including logging online activity for harassment purposes
- Sustained disruption of discussion
- Unwelcome sexual attention
- Pattern of inappropriate social contact, such as requesting/assuming inappropriate levels of intimacy with others
- Continued one-on-one communication after requests to cease
- Deliberate “outing” of any aspect of a person’s identity without their consent except as necessary to protect other community members or other vulnerable people from intentional abuse
- Publication of non-harassing private communication without consent by the involved parties
Expected Behaviour
- Treat all attendees, exhibitors, and staff with courtesy and respect.
- Handle watches and exhibits with care, and only as invited by exhibitors.
- Follow the reasonable instructions of Event staff and venue personnel.
- Respect the personal space and belongings of others.
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following will not be tolerated at the Event:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination of any kind.
- Verbal or physical abuse directed at any attendee, exhibitor, or member of staff.
- Theft, damage to, or unauthorised handling of exhibited watches or property.
- Any behaviour that endangers the safety of others.
Reporting a Concern
If you experience or witness behaviour that breaches this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to a member of Event staff on the day, or contact us afterwards. All reports will be treated seriously and in confidence.
Enforcement
Attendees asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Attendees who breach this Code of Conduct may be asked to leave the Event, at the discretion of the organisers, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
The organisers may take any action we deem appropriate, up to and including expulsion from all future Chronography events and identification of the attendee to other community members, the general public and/or An Garda Síochána.
